NEYRTEC MINERAL flotation cells allow the separation of different mineral phases in a liquid process by acting on the hydrophobic or hydrophilic character of mineral surfaces.
The hydrophobic particles attach themselves to the air bubbles generated in the suspension thanks to a specific agitation mechanism, and are transported to the surface. The froth formed by the accumulation of particle-laden bubbles is discharged by overflow, while the hydrophilic particles remaining in suspension in the liquid phase are discharged through the bottom of the cell.
The hydrophobicity of mineral species is generally accentuated by the addition of selective reagents (the collectors) upstream of the flotation process.

FEATURES
Flotation cells are assembled in banks of 2 to 6 cells, each bank having a common froth collector.
Each NEYRTEC MINERAL flotation cell is equipped with an agitator, a tank, a drive unit and a froth scraper.
Air bubbles are produced mechanically by the agitator, an air injection is added if needed.
