Hydrocyclones are essential equipment in the separation phase, used for particle size classification, desizing and thickening. Single or used in clusters, NEYRTEC MINERAL hydrocyclones are defined according to the flow rate, the cuts and performance required by the customer. It’s an ideal equipment that combines fine cuts and high yields. The TA/TV series is a steel model that limits energy losses. The HC/HD series is a polyurethane model, with easily interchangeable parts (Apex/nozzles, vortex, volute…). The TR/TT series are models with interchangeable rubber skins.

FEATURES
The principle of hydrocycloning is based on the tangential injection flow process: a mix of liquid solids into the cylindrical part of the hydrocyclone, called the head. The centrifugal force applied to this mix induces a separation between the particles in the cylindrical and conical parts of the hydrocyclone. The coarser and denser particles are discharged into the underflow (apex nozzle), while the finer and less dense particles are discharged into the overflow. A vortex is created at the center of the hydrocyclone, carrying the finest particles along with the water.
